Web & Mobile Dev Programme

A New Era of Easy Creation

With the rise of AI-powered development tools, building a website has become more accessible than ever. Students no longer need years of coding experience to bring an idea to life. AI assistants can help generate layouts, guide code structure, explain concepts and speed up the entire creative process.

In a remarkably short period of time, learners who make use of these tools can produce their own functioning websites, gaining confidence as both creators and problem-solvers.

What Students Can Build

Using a combination of beginner-friendly coding techniques and AI-assisted tools, learners can create a wide range of websites, such as:

  • Personal portfolio sites to showcase achievements, hobbies or artwork
  • Pages for their CCA or school activities
  • Informational sites on topics they care about (sports, wellbeing, sustainability, gaming, etc.)
  • Simple mobile-friendly prototypes for imagined apps or services
  • Sites with interactive elements such as galleries, menus or animations
  • Event promotion pages for school initiatives, fundraisers or competitions

These projects allow students to pair creativity with real technical skills, producing something tangible and meaningful.

A Foundation for Future IT Pathways

This experience provides students with an early stepping stone into the world of technology. By understanding how websites and mobile interfaces are built, they gain insight into areas such as:

  • Front-end development
  • UI/UX design
  • Software engineering
  • Mobile app development
  • Digital product design
  • Tech entrepreneurship
  • Cloud and DevOps fundamentals (introduced at a simple level)

Whether students later pursue computing, design, engineering or digital business, these foundations support a wide range of future careers.

Tools and Technologies

Students will work with a mix of core coding skills and AI-supported development tools, including:

  • HTML, CSS & JavaScript – the building blocks of web and mobile interfaces
  • Responsive design techniques – to ensure websites work smoothly across devices
  • AI coding assistants like Lovable – to scaffold components, debug code, suggest improvements and accelerate learning
  • VS Code – the primary code editor for writing and managing files
  • Browser DevTools – for testing ideas and understanding how pages behave
  • GitHub (optional) – for saving and sharing completed projects

These tools mirror real-world development environments, giving learners hands-on experience with industry-relevant workflows.

Why It Matters

Understanding how digital products are built empowers students to become creators rather than just consumers of technology. Coding encourages analytical thinking, creativity and resilience—skills that are valuable across every discipline.

By integrating AI into the learning process, students also develop a thoughtful understanding of modern development practices: when to rely on automation, when to write code manually and how to evaluate the quality of the output.

This programme equips learners with practical abilities, confidence in digital creation and a clearer sense of the opportunities available in the expanding world of technology.

Other Programmes

In addition to our Web and Mobile Development Programme, we offer a range of pathways designed for younger learners who are beginning their journey in coding. These programmes provide engaging, structured experiences that build confidence and prepare students for more advanced technological skills.

  • Elite Coder: Certified Coding
Get certified in coding! Elite Coder is a structured three-level certification programme developed in partnership with Singapore Science Centre Global and mangoSTEEMS. It follows international standards such as CSTA and Common Core, giving students a strong and globally recognised foundation in programming.
  • Coding Adventures
Build a strong foundation in coding through interactive game-based learning. Using the CodeMonkey platform, students explore coding concepts through challenges, puzzles and playful activities. The programme nurtures critical thinking, problem-solving and coding confidence, ideal for younger learners taking their first steps into the digital world.

These programmes ensure that students of all ages have meaningful, age-appropriate entry points into coding, allowing them to develop essential digital skills from an early stage.
